Welcome to the Champaign County Epilepsy Support Group!
Welcome to our site!
Epilepsy is often misunderstood. It is not unusual for persons with epilepsy, their families and the community to make decisions based on inaccurate information. The Champaign County Epilepsy Support Group can help. The group discusses issues associated with epilepsy including social concerns, new treatments, available resources, and legislative information. Guest speakers frequently attend the meetings to discuss relative topics that pertain to the group. All individuals with epilepsy, family, and friends are welcome to join the group to attend.
The Champaign County Epilepsy Support Group is in association with the Epilepsy Resource Center of Central Illinois. For more information on the ERC, visit http://www.spfldsparc.org/ERC.html.

- We will start and end on time.
- We will allow everyone to participate; no one should dominate the discussion.
- We allow everyone the right to share or to pass on the discussion.
- We will ask that only one person talk at a time while others try to listen.
- We will honor all opinions and not judge each other.
- We will share our thoughts, feelings and experiences but we will not give advice.
- We will respect confidentiality—what is said in the group stays in the group.
- We will refrain from discussing other members outside of the group.
- We agree to share the responsibilities for the group and contribute to any costs for running the group.
- Other suggested ground rules.
